Robert Ver Wert, Ph.D.
Robert VerWert, Ph.D. has been a Wisconsin Licensed psychologist and a member in the National Register since 1985. He received his doctoral degree from Marquette University and has had more than 20 years experience in counseling couples, adults, adolescents, and children.
Dr. VerWert helps his patients learn life skills for coping with a variety of problems including anxiety and panic disorders, depression/affect disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, PTSD due to dysfunctional family upbringing, marriage problems, divorce adjustment, stress management, anger management, basic school and/or behavior problems in children. His approach to treatment is to help individuals or couples identify the source of their problems and then agree upon a plan of action.
Dr. VerWert also has extensive experience in forensic psychology, having performed hundreds of evaluations for Waukesha, Milwaukee, Washington, Fond du Lac, Dane, and Racine County Courts and attorneys. Evaluations for Juvenile, Criminal, Civil, Family and Probate Courts have included: Custody Evaluations and Termination of Parental Right Evaluations, Guardianship and Protective Placement Evaluations, Competency to Proceed Evaluations, Not Guilty by Reason of Mental Defect Evaluations, commitment Evaluations, Watts Review Evaluations, Sentencing Hearing Evaluations, Contested Waiver of Juveniles to Adult Court, Conditional Release Evaluations, some selected sexual offender evaluations, General Psychological Evaluations where the court has some specific questions.
Dr. VerWert's professional associations include American Psychological Associations, Wisconsin Psychological Association with an additional membership in the Forensic Division, and Diplomat Status in the American College of Forensic Examiners.
