ADD/ADHD

The often misdiagnosed or improperly treated problems of attention deficits (with or without hyperactivity) have caused confusion and frustration for children, teachers, and parents (and employers, for Adults with ADD). The inability to sustain attention, be distracted easily, be unable to complete projects, forget things, etc, can be caused by many things. The comprehensive diagnostic procedures we provide are necessary to rule out a variety of other diagnoses first. Often children, who are normally very active, bored, or just defiant to get attention, can be inappropriately treated for ADD/ADHD. When a child, adolescent, or ADULT has a problem involving a deficit in attention they can be very effectively treated with brief cognitive behavioral therapy, including such things as parent information/training, and complimentary communication (as needed or requested) between the educational institutions, work places, homes, etc. in order to provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to managing all the related problems. Medications may or may not be recommended.
